Privacy policy

Last updated:

Version of 25 October 2026.

gta6ps4.com is a small reference site for PlayStation 4 owners who want to know whether GTA 6 will run on their console (it will not) and how to plan a move to a PS5. You can read every page without an account, without giving us your name and without filling in anything. This policy lists the few things that do touch your data, one by one, so you can decide what to allow.

The controller

The data controller is Media Digital Business L.L.C.-FZ, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Privacy questions go to [email protected], the same inbox the editors read.

Inventory: everything that runs in your browser here

Item Who provides it What it does Runs when
Consent banner us Asks once and stores your answer as g6_consent in localStorage Always
Readiness checklist and countdown (homepage) us Remembers which of the five launch steps you ticked, under gta6ps4:readiness:v1 in localStorage Only if you tick a box
Language memory us Saves your language as g6_lang (localStorage) and, if you were redirected from the home page, a lang_choice cookie for one year When you open a page
Google Analytics 4 Google Counts visits and pages read Only after "Accept all"
Google AdSense Google Shows ads; personalised only with consent Ads may load either way, cookies only after "Accept all"
Cloudflare Cloudflare, Inc. Delivers the site, blocks attacks, routes mail Always

Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so opening a page does not contact a font CDN. The checklist, the countdown and the language memory never leave your device: we have no server-side copy of what you ticked.

The site uses Google Consent Mode v2 with every advertising and analytics signal set to "denied" by default. Until you press Accept all, Google Analytics does not set cookies and AdSense can only serve non-personalised ads, which rely on context such as the page you are reading rather than on a profile of you. If you accept, Google may set cookies to measure traffic and to personalise ads. You can manage Google ad personalisation at any time at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Changed your mind? The banner does not reappear once you answer, so clear this site's data in your browser settings (or delete the g6_consent entry). On your next visit you will be asked again.

Cloudflare

Every request passes through Cloudflare, which acts as our CDN and security layer and processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and stop abuse. When you email us, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to our editorial inbox.

  • Consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics and personalised advertising. GA4 event data is kept for no longer than 14 months, the maximum Google offers on standard properties.
  • Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)) for security logs at Cloudflare and for answering your emails. We keep correspondence for up to 24 months, then delete it unless a legal claim requires otherwise.
  • Data stored in your browser (checklist, language, consent choice) stays until you clear it. We cannot see or delete it for you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and comparable laws you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data we hold, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. California residents can ask what personal information is collected and request its deletion; we do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of the word, and refusing consent in the banner stops data being shared for personalised advertising. Write to the address above, and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is written for an adult and teen gaming audience. GTA 6 is a mature-rated game, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Updates

When the site gains a new feature or a new provider, this policy changes first. The date at the top always shows the current version.
